Before and After Fun Meagan

Hi Lovlies,

It’s no wonder that I am makeup artist because I find faces to be so interesting. I see stories and history the structure of in facial features and makeup artistry is one of the ways that I connect and learn about people. So before I turn this new post into something more cerebral than needed I will just say that I really dig what I do and I love the process of changing someone’s perception about themselves through the use of color and of course my sparkling personality : ) This installment of Before and After Fun is with my new friend Meagan. I actually met her when I was doing makeup for a wonderful bride Alexis.

Meagan was one of the bridesmaids and I didn’t do her makeup but just liked her freckles and her natural beauty. I asked her she would mind if I tried some looks on her and to my surprise Meagan said yes and so after a couple of months the makeover fun ensued!!

I wanted to show Meagan looks that she would be comfortable wearing outside since she keeps her makeup look fairly natural all the time. She loved the looks and has some new tricks to try in the day and on the town.

Before – no makeup

Before – no makeup

1st look – I kept her look very natural. I just used cream and taupe shades on her eyes. I  used Stlla’s waterproof Smudge Stick in Lionfish along her lash-line. I then smudged the line for a softer look.  I used Stilla’s Convertible Color in Lilium which is a light peachy/ pink color that resembles the natural flush on the cheeks and lips. I also used brown mascara to enhance Meagan’s lashes.

2nd look- English Rose To change her look I added Shell Pink from Trish McEvoy to her lids and used a burgundy shade of blush to contour her eyes. I also added a rose tone of powder blush on the apples of her cheeks. To and some extra evening pop to her eyes I softly lined her the top and bottom of her eyes with Makeup For Ever’s Aqua Eye liner gel in #2 . I used also used a very natural length strip of false lashes, curled and coated her lashes with black mascara. I also applied a rosy/shimmery pink lipstick to Meagan’s lip.

3rd look- Siren on the town I knew I wanted use Lady Danger from Mac on her but of course I had to tone her eyes down. However, I decided that no red lip is good without a good pair lashes so I double stacked another pair of lashes to bring the drama.

4th look – Smokin hot I used a shimmery forest green shade of eye liner and smudged it on her eyelids and lined her the bottom lash line as well. I also made sure to smudge this line as well to add softer more natural effect.
